Although the figure is conservative comared to the previous month, the number is inline with revenues for the same period last year. Expectations for the second quarter remain high as manufacturers continue their investment plans and as excess capacity continues to be remain tight. Positive sentiment from leading industry semiconductor manufacturers regarding second quarter business prospects also raises expectations for the third quarter; and with continued capital investment and capacity utilization expected to remain high, investment in equipment should remain strong. At the same time, Spirox Corporation announced official first quarter results of NTD1.419 billion, reflecting net earnings of 17.5% or NTD198 million before taxes, and a EPS of NTD1.23.
