Founded in 1995, the Hsin Chu Wind Orchestra is committed to music education and community outreach as well as explores possibilities of high-quality concerts, including works by local composers, opera, pop music singers and holding numerous troupe to make those performances available to wide and diverse audience in Hsinchu area and beyond.

Two year ago, the members of orchestra provided a series of music plans to the Francis Xavier Kindergarten located in Hsinchu remote mountain area, founded by Sister Elena Pia in 1969, in which 76 children are there presently, with Spirox Education Foundation's support. Since aboriginal children have gifts for dancing, singing and percussion, the orchestra brings long-term courses in music to the kids so that gives those kids great pleasure in playing music.

The Hsin Chu Wind Orchestra, the Francis Xavier Kindergarten Percussion Band and the Sister of Apple, a kids' idol of TV show in Taiwan, will bring an amazing concert “ Open Music ” in which they will provide a good introduction of classic works to kid audience in plain and interesting way. In the meanwhile, the stage setup will feature a full compliment of theater lighting, massive visual effects. During approximately 120 minutes, the performers will play well-knows repertoire that all ages and listeners are sure to love, including:

•  Carmen by Georges Bizet
